Entry tests begin today

RANGPUR: The admission tests of first year (honours) courses under 2015-16 academic session at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) will begin from today, reports BSS. The university authority and its admission test committee have completed preparations for holding the tests on December 6, 7, 8 and 10 and the results will be published on December 18, a university press release said yesterday afternoon. The admission seekers have been advised to visit the university website www.brur.ac.bd for further details and necessary information, including seat arrangement for the admission tests. Vice-chancellor of BRUR Professor AKM Nurun Nabi said additional police forces will be deployed in the campus and mobile courts will remain active for holding admission tests in free, fair and peaceful atmosphere. According to the university officials, a total of 54,292 students will sit for the test against 1,200 seats in 21 departments under six faculties.
The admission tests for Unit-A will be held at 10 am in the first shift, 12 noon in the second shift and 2 pm in the third shift today (Sunday) in the academic building of the campus. On December 7 (Monday), the admission tests for Unit-B will be held at 10 am in the first shift, 12 noon in the second shift and 2 pm in the third shift at the same venue. The admission tests for Unit-C will be held at 10 am in the first shift and 12 noon in the second shift while admission tests for Unit- F will be held at 2 pm on December 8.
Besides, the admission tests for Unit-D will be held at 10 am in the first shift and 12 noon in the second shift while the admission tests for Unit-E will be held at 2 pm in the first shift and 4 pm in the second shift on December 10.
