Bangladesh for restarting Dhaka-Uzbek flight

Bangladesh has proposed restarting the Uzbek flight between Dhaka and Tashkent to help boost business and trade ties between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan, reports UNB. Bangladesh also urged Uzbekistan to import jute products, fishes, RMG products and pharmaceuticals from Bangladesh as it maintains high quality in these areas. Bangladesh Ambassador in Tashkent Mosud Mannan made the proposals during a meeting with Uzbek Economy Minister Galina Saidova at the Economy Ministry yesterday, according to a message received here from Tashkent. The diplomat emphasised exchange of education programmes at government and university levels between the two countries.
He said Bangladesh cultivates a very good number of fishes, prawn, and is exporting fish items to the Europe, America and Middle East countries and proposed that Uzbekistan import these quality, nutritious and delicious fish items from Bangladesh. Mosud Mannan mentioned that Bangladesh’s RMG products are more popular in the world market. “Uzbekistan can import these quality RMG products from Bangladesh and set up garment factories and include expert workers from Bangladesh.”
