Zakia Bari Momo, a brilliant model-turned-actress who is working hard to make a firm position in the country’s film industry after ensuring a secure position on small screen, will be seen playing as a top singer in a new tele-drama titled ‘Amar Ekla Akash. Momo will appear as Abantika—the central character in the tele-drama, which is written by Syed Iqbal and directed by Mezbah Sikdar. In the story of the tele-drama, Abantika grew up with immense passion for music from her childhood. One day, she meets a journalist named Irfan Sazzad while continuing her musical journey. She faces different issues with the family for her music career. Eventually, her busy life centring recording and stage show leads to create a distance between Abantika and her family members. From this point, a new chapter of personal life of popular singer Momo starts. Momo said about working in the tele-drama, “The story is unique and I have entered into the real musical life while working for it. The story is about different problems that can be created in our life—those who we work in the showbiz. Sometimes, a silly misunderstanding can lead to a serious incident in our daily life—the tele-drama portrays this scenario wonderfully.” The shooting of the tele-drama was completed recently in the city’s Uttara and Diabari area. Irfan Sazzad, Sukarna Hasan and Sanjid Khan Prince, among others, have shared the screen with Momo in the tele-drama.
