A weeklong photography exhibition on birds titled ‘Pakhir Desh Bangladesh’ (Bangladesh is the country of birds) will begin today at the Kabi Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum (BNM) in the city’s Shahbag area. Presided over by Director General of BNM Faizul Latif Chowdhury, noted artist Hashem Khan and popular singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya will inaugurate the exhibition jointly today at 4pm. President of Bangladesh Bird Club Dr Niaz Abdur Rahman will deliver the welcome speech at the event. Organised by Bangladesh Bird Club, the exhibition will showcase the photographs on 102 kinds of birds, which have been taken by 46 members of the Bangladesh Bird Club. The weeklong exhibition will remain open to all every day from 9am to 7pm (Friday: 2:30pm–7:30pm), until December 11. Closed-Thursday.
