Fake examinee held at IU

Police arrested a fake examinee during the viva voce test for the first year honors courses under 2015-16 academic year of Islamic University yesterday. The fake examinee has been as identified as Maudud Ahmed Jibon, hailing from Gungni in Mirpur sadar upzila of Kushtia. Maudud admitted that he could secure second position in ‘C’ unit in exchange for Tk 1.5 lakh. He did not appear in the admission test and he confessed to his guilt in presence of university proctoral body.  He had taken help from fake examinee named, Ripon, who is now serving a six- month jail term for similar offence. Unit coordinator Professor M Asaduzzaman detained Maudud from the university Applied Science and Technology Faculty at around 10am. University Proctor Professor M Mahbubar Rahman said they have handed over the student to police. The viva voce test for the first year honors courses of the university began yesterday and will continue till December 2.
