Election of Chuadanga Bar Association was held at its hall room on Friday peacefully. Pro-BNP candidates bagged 8 posts and pro-Awami League candidates won 7 posts out of 15 in the election.
BNP-baked SM Shahjahan as president, Sirajul Islam vice-president, Sayeed Hedayet Hossain Aslam general secretary, Khandakar Ohidul Alam joint secretary, and members -- Masud Parvej Rasel, Jamaluddin, SM Humayan Kabir and Rubina Parvin – won in the election. On the other hand, Shah Alam-vice president, SM Sharifuddin Hasu-joint secretary, members -- Monirul Islam Polas, Masudur Rahman Rana, Sujauddin, Anarul Hoque and Abu Taleb Biswas -- of pro-Awami League candidates won in the election. The election was conducted by Adv Abdur Rashid, Adv SM Monwar Hossain and Adv Shahidul Hoque.
In Bogra, BNP nominated Nationality Consistency Panel, led by Aftab Uddin-Sheikh Rejaur Rahman Mintu Parishad of Bogra Advocate Bar association won the bar association election for 2016.
Advocate Md Aftab Uddin Ahmmed, Advocate Sheikh Rejaur Rahman Mintu have been elected president and general secretary respectively of the 13-member new executive committee of Bogra District Bar Association. The other office bearers are Advocate Sayed Abu Nesar Ali Nazu, Md Jahidul Hasan Monnu - vice presidents, Abu Hayat Mohammad Mostofa Kamal Porag and Kamal Uddin elected - joint secretaries, Md Sirajul Haque - Library and Social Welfare Secretary, Md Shafiqul Islam Shafique - magazine, sport and cultural secretary. The elected executive members are Mahbuba Khatun Shukhi, Aminul Islam Shahin, Md Ruhul Ameen Ruhul, Rahima Khatun Merry and Jakiul Alam Shohel.
Some 624 out of 642 voters exercised their right of franchise in the annual election held from 7am to 1pm on Friday at the Ghahar Ali auditorium of bar association.
The election committee announced results at 11 pm after completing counting of votes at 10.30 pm.
According to official results, Nationality Consistency Penal led by BNP won 13 postd of Bogra Bar association this year with full panel, where AL-led 14-party alliance did not get any post in the election.
In Narsingdi, the annual election of Narsingdi Lawyer Association 2016 was held at Narsingdi Lawyer Association (BAR) Library hall room on November 26 in the town.  Advocate Bashirul Kader was elected president and Advocate Md Khorshed Alam elected general secretary.The other elected office-bearers are Vice President - Advocate Shakhawat Hossain Bedon, Assistant Secretary - Advocate Nurun Nabi, Assistant Secretary (Library) - Advocate Mahibur Rahman, Treasurer - Advocate Sadequr Rahman Gazi,  Cultural Secretary - advocate Noor Mohammad Khan Swaran, and executive members are Advocate Advocate Rashed Mridha, Advocate Amirul Islam, Advocate Mahmudul Haque Nayan and Advocate Sheikh Mohammd Saifullah.
