Bangladesh Coast Guard held seven members of a poaching gang with one deer in Badnar Char area on the Meghna River in Hatiya upazila yesterday afternoon. The arrestees were identified as Shorab Hossian, Sakat Hossain, Jahiruddin, Kabir Hossain, Ashraf Hossain, Kantilal Das, Giasuddin. Hatiya station commanding officer Lt Aminul Islam said based on secret information a team of the Coast Guard conducted a drive at around 12:30pm and detained them.
