NSU Business School achieves  American accreditation
American accreditation, for the first time in Bangladesh, has been granted to the School of Business and Economics (SBE) at North South University (NSU), the first private university of the country.
This has led NSU to the level of claiming itself a centre of excellence in world class higher education in the region.
NSU was accepted for accreditation candidacy for its programmes in the SBE by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), a reputable American accreditation authority, in November 2014.
After a year of rigorous preparation for the accreditation process, followed by thorough inspection and careful review, ACBSP has granted accreditation to NSU.
Accreditation is a certification of quality that ensures meticulous assessment in a variety of areas.
American accreditation is further distinctive as it is voluntary and utilises a peer review process.
The review centres on six standards: leadership, strategic planning, students and other stakeholders, assessment, faculty members and staff, and educational and business management process.
The SBE was reviewed by faculty members from accredited business schools in the USA, and across the world.
