Comilla Victorians skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said that they had devised new game plan to pierce Shakib-less rejuvenated Rangpur Riders in their last game of the first phase of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) yesterday.
“We formulated a game plan keeping with Shakib for this match yesterday night. But when we heard that he was suspended for one match then we devised another game plan for the match,” said Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.
“When Shakib is not in the team it is a pressure for that team. At the same time it is consoling thing for opponent. It is normally true as he is outstanding in batting, bowling and fielding,” he
also said.
But the way we played and bowled, the win was deserving for us,” he added. He said that they will take every chance to increase the run rate for the team if they could get it on their way.
“Our focus was to increase the run-rate. We also discussed it in the last match if we get any opportunity to increase the run-rate then we will try to capitalise it. We could have done this today,” the Victorians skipper revealed.
About wicket, Mashrafe said that wicket was not only high-scoring like 200 or plus but also very low-scoring like 90-100.
“It may not be a high-scoring wicket. In T20, 170-180 is being scored normally. But it is not such scoring wicket. At the same time, it’s not a wicket of 100-120.” he reckoned.
