Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College has temporarily banned student politics on campus following a second clash between two factions of the Chhatra League this afternoon. Five people, including a policeman, were injured in a factional clash shortly after midnight last night.
Sources say that the clash was a result of an altercation over addressing a programme of the ruling party's student wing on campus yesterday. Police detained a Chhatra League activist this afternoon during yet another factional altercation on campus. The medical college has formed a committee to investigate the incident, and has asked it to submit a report in 3 days.
