Popular actress Mousumi Hamid will be seen appearing in an upcoming telefilm titled ‘Ranibala’, written and directed by Sumon Anwar. Mousumi Hamid will play the title role and other casts of the telefilm include Afran Nisho, Monira Yousuf Memy, Shahidul Alam Sachchu, among others. DhakaLive has news that the shooting has been completed yesterday at picturesque locations in the capital’s Old Dhaka and Uttara area. The story of the telefilm evolves around a sex worker by the name of Ranibala and it also focuses on the lives and struggles of many others like her. Sumon Anwar expressed his thoughts on the subject of the telefilm, “I always try to present the social scenario in my work and that is what I did in ‘Ranibala’. A true scenario is presented in the story and the viewers will get to know more about the reality in which the sex workers survive.” The telefilm is expected to air soon on a private television channel.
