Popular Cricket Academy lifted Bangabandhu Gold Cup T20 tournament  beating  Beximco Textile Cricket Academy in the final played yesterday at Abahani ground in the capital. Mom Popular became the man of the final while Reza of Beximco Textile Cricket Academy awarded man of the series.

Former FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin was present as the chief guest. Abahani Limited Director Md. Jahangir Alam and Kazi Abdul Hakim, advisor of Abahani Samarthak Gosthi, were also present. Rayer Bazar AC life time president  Amjad Hossain Miah presided over the ceremony. To celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,  Ward No 15 Abahani Samarthosk Gosthi  organised  the tournament.

Women’s football league resumes tomorrow

Bss, Dhaka

Bashundhara Kings will take on FC Uttarbongo in the lone match of the Tricotex Women’s Football League that resumes tomorrow at Birshresha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium, Kamalapur.

The match kicks off at 3 pm.

On the following day on Thursday (March 19), Cumilla United will play against Spartan MKG Sylhet FC at 12 noon while Jamalapur Kacharipara Ekadash meets Nasrin Sports Academy at 3pm. Both the matches will be held at the same venue.
