BNP leader stabbed in Jhenidah

A local BNP leader was stabbed by some unidentified criminals at Khedapra village in Jhenidah Sadar upazila on Saturday night. OC of Sadar police station Hasan Hafizur Rahman said a group of unidentified men attacked Abdul Kader Laskar, 50, organising secretary of Naldanga union unit BNP, while he was going home from a nearby bazaar at around 10:30pm. They stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him severely injured, he added. Locals rushed him to sadar hospital; but when his physical condition deteriorated the duty doctor referred him to Faridpur Medical College at night.
