A man was hacked to death by some miscreants at Shangkarpasha village in Sadar upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Siddiqur Rahman Khalifa, 60, son of late Kashem Ali Khalifa, a resident of the village. He was an assistant of a lawyer.  

Hayatul Islam Khan, superintendent of the district police, said some unidentified miscreants swooped on Siddiqur  and hacked him with a sharp weapon. Being rescued by locals, he was rushed to Sadar hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
