Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club bounced back strongly in the Bangladesh Premier League Football with a back to back win defeating Arambagh Krira Sangha by 4-1 yesterday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

All four goals of the match were scored by foreign booters when Ballo Famousa of Ivory Coast struck twice and Gambian duo Solomon King and Omar Jobe scored a piece for Sheikh Jamal and Eleta Kingsley of Nigeria reduced one for Arambagh.

Arambagh, won one, drew as many match and suffered two defeats out of their four matches while Jamal from their three outings won two and conceded one defeat.

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, who have been struggling for last few seasons could not even make place among the title contenders since 2014-15 season, it looked they would do better than the previous season. As despite starting the league with a 0-2 defeat to Chittagong Abahani, bounced back well with winning the next match at away ground against Muktijoddha by 2-1 and kept the winning spree with thrashing Arambagh yesterday.

Despite the league starter with a defeat to Mohammedan SC, Arambagh bounced back impressively with halting Muktijoddha KC by 2-2 draw and stunned Chittagong Abahani Limited at their home ground in MA Aziz Stadium, Chottagram by 2-1 in the previous match.

But on the day Arambagh were just outplayed by the former title winners Jamal as they could just scored one goal against four and escaped from conceding another three goals courtesy to the failures of the forwards.

However, Ballo Famousa led Jamal on 22nd minute following a minute before narrowly missing his close rage header on a Jahid cross. Ballo, the forward from Ivory Coast, scored the goal as it was a replay of previous action when former national forward Jahid Hossain lobbed a right side cross that found Ballo at the right place who could not miss to perfect his powerful header (1-0).

Arambagh hinted to fight evenly with equalising the margin on 35th minute through Eleta Kingsley marked the target from near post (1-1).

Ballo Famousa reinstated their lead on 45th minute with a cool finish when the tall man just sent the ball over goalkeeper with his toe when Solomon King provided the cross (2-1).

Jamal, who looked a different sides after a long time, were about to enlarge the tally on 51st minute but Solomon King failed to score from a penalty as his shot was saved by Arambagh keeper. This time Arambagh custodian pulled down Jahid on his way to open net after dodging past the keeper.

But the Dhanmondi outfit finally left the ground with a big win scoring two more goals when Solomon King and Omar Jobe added one goal each of 59th and 75th minute respectively. Ballo had every opportunity to score a hat-trick but he could not just connect being very closer to the goal line when Omar Jobe set superb right side cross twice.
