DU appoints two new assistant proctors

Dr Md Abdul Muhit, associate professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology department and Dr Anwar Hossain, associate professor of Fisheries Department are appointed as Assistant Proctor of Dhaka University on Thursday. DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akthtaruzzan assigned them to their duty, said a press release. Dr Anwar Hossain will be the Assistant Proctor for Biology faculty while Dr Md Abdul Muhit will conduct his duty for faculty of Pharmacy.
 

Road painting event held

To celebrate the month of February, Delhi Public School (DPS-STS) Dhaka is organising numerous events on its premise called ‘Boichitre Bangla’, which started with a Road Painting ceremony on Thursday, says a press release.  The programmme, where students created colourful ‘alpana’, was inaugurated by Atiqul Islam, mayor-elect, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).  DPS-STS will also organise events such as ‘pitha uthsab’, ‘poush mela’, cultural programme to showcase the cultural heritage of Bangladesh spanning throughout the month.
