‘Truce-Juddhobiroti’
ends tomorrow

A weeklong solo exhibition titled ‘Truce-Juddhobiroti’ by Ata Mojlish and curated by Kazi Tahsin Agaz Apurbo will end tomorrow at the Dwip Gallery in the capital’s Lalmatia area. The inaugural ceremony of the exhibition was held on January 25 on the gallery premises.

The exhibition with painstakingly curated images aims to take a more introspective look at mental health troubles.

For artist Ata Mojlish, the premise of truce is extremely personal and a means to keep going.

The artist said, “It is a tiring task to keep oneself alive when nothingness is all you wish for. Sometimes among all of this numbness, off key but in tune - images offer me distraction. Mistaken as peace, a truce is achieved and I stay alive.”

Ata’s work is based on digitally manipulated images and is produced from a non-art perspective.

The images take a closer look at dealing with depression and finding peace through the process of image-making.

The exhibition remains open to all from 3pm to 9pm, until tomorrow.
