It is also learnt that Mario’s tenure with the main stream side will come to an end after the upcoming home series against Zimbabwe.
According to reports it was understood that Mario gave up Tigers’ trainer role after he got a job offer from Sunrisers Hyderabad, a franchise-based team of the IPL which he thinks a much better opportunity for him.
About his resignation BCB CEO Nizamuddin told reporters, “Mario has got offer from an IPL franchise where he will work as a trainer. We (BCB) accepted his request and decided to let him go considering his better future.”
“Mario also wanted to work both with national side and the IPL team at the same time. He just wanted a leave during the IPL but the Board’s terms and conditions doesn’t support that. We cannot allow any of our full-time coaching staff to work with any domestic side.
