in three new films

Veteran actress Dilara Zaman, the recipient of Ekushey Padak and the winner of National Film Award, has currently been involved in three new films.

Meanwhile, the actress has completed the shooting of ‘Chiranjib Mujib’, a film directed by Jewel Mahmud. She has played the role of the mother of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in this film.

On the other hand, the shooting of her other new film ‘Arjan 71’ is currently underway.

Moreover, starring Dilara Zaman in a lead role, the shooting of yet another short film titled ‘Amar Babar Naam’ will commence in Noakhali from February 4. The short film will be made based on the story of Bangabandhu’s Homecoming. The film will be directed by Fazle Azim Jewel while Harun Ar Rashid has written the story, dialogue and screenplay.

Dilara Zaman said about her involvement in three new films, “I have played the role of Bangabandhu’s mother in the film ‘Chiranjib Mujib’. We had to work really hard to shoot the film in the severe cold weather. I have put my maximum effort to portray the role of Bangabandhu’s mother as lively as possible. Because, I believe, it is (the film) going to be a history.”

“My character in ‘Arjan 71’ is also very important and working in this film was a wonderful experience for me. Also, I am going to start the shooting of ‘Amar Babar Naam’ from the first week of February. The film is set against the backdrop of the timeline a few days ahead of Bangabandhu’s Homecoming. I hope it will be a great work,” the veteran actress added.
