Iswarganj upazila administration yesterday imposed Section 144 at Cinema Hall area in Atharabari Bazaar restricting gathering of people after two factions of Sramik League, a front organisation of ruling Awami League, called workers’ meeting at the same time and on the same time.
Two faction of Sramik League of Atharabari union unit called conferences to form full-fledged committees of the organisation. The authorities enforced the ban on gathering from 10 am to 6.0 pm yesterday, said Rajib Kumar Sarker, upazila nirbahi officer of Iswarganj.
