Sources said when the Election Commission will declare Pourashava election schedule the Madhabdi Poura Awami League will arrange a special meeting for final selection of candidates for the post of one mayor, 12 general councilors and 4 female councilors.
Former Narsingdi sadar thana Awami League organising secretary Anowar Hossain and Madhabdi pourashava Awami League Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Prodhan Manik seeking to contest for mayoral post have obtained nomination papers.
