Be more active in recovering illegal arms, drugs: Rangpur DIG

Acting Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rangpur Range Humayun Kabir yesterday ordered the police force to become more active in checking crimes and recovering illegal arms, drugs and narcotics substances, reports BSS from Rangpur. He passed the order while distributing awards among the police members of different districts under Rangpur Range for rendering excellent services in curbing crimes at a ceremony arranged at his conference room here as the chief guest. He also directed the police force for showing zero tolerance in curbing anarchy, terrorism, militancy, drug trafficking and other crimes for ensuring safety and security of the people everywhere in Rangpur division.
Putting especial emphasis on recovering illegal arms, arresting criminals, stopping trafficking and trading in drugs and narcotics substances, he said members of police will be awarded for good deeds, and punished for wrongdoings. All eight superintendents of police (SP) from Rangpur, Panchagarh, Thakurgaon, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Dinajpur and Gaibandha districts and high police officials attended the ceremony. Later, the DIG distributed medals among eight police members for their extraordinary performances in improving law and order. Superintendent of Police of Lalmonirhat TM Mozahedul Islam received the medal for making the district best under Rangpur Range in maintaining law and order.
