The adjourned first joint meeting of the newly-formed Awami League Central Working Committee and Advisory Council resumed at Ganobhaban yesterday evening.

The meeting resumed with AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Hasina said the meeting would discuss how the organisation could be strengthened further in future and adopt the future working plans of the party.

She said the meeting would discuss the issues about the celebrations of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the celebrations of the 'Mujib Barsho' (2020-2021).
