At least 12 fishermen were injured and another was abducted in the Bay of Bengal, near Gangamati sea shore in Kuakata on Wednesday. The abducted fisherman was identified as Anisur Bepary, 33, an inhabitant of West Chapli village in Kalapara upazila. Anisur’s brother Zahid Bepary said a gang of armed robbers, numbering 14 to 15, on board a trawler attacked them while they were netting fish in the Bay. The robbers looted cash money and mobile phone sets from the fishermen, injuring 12 of them. Afterwards, the gang abducted Anisur for ransom
