Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq on Saturday said a fresh list of freedom fighters will be released in January 2020.

The minister said this while inaugurating a liberation war memorial to commemorate the martyrs and freedom fighters in Khajura area of Jessore Sadar Upazila on Saturday. A rally was also held there to mark the inauguration of the memorial.

Minister said, “We must tell the story of the sacrifice and heroism of the freedom fighters to the next generation, how the invaders and their accomplices killed and tortured generale people.”  He said, “Joy Bangla is the slogan of our liberation war. You better teach your children the history of the War of Liberation.”

UP chairman SM Afzal Hossain chaired the programme where Swapon Bhattachariya, Minister of Rural Development and Cooperatives, Kazi Nabil Ahmed,MP, Muktijhoddha commander Rajek Zahangir spokes among others on the occasion.
