At long last, an Urology Clinic was launched in Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) on Thursday. The authorities concerned said KMCH marched one-step ahead in providing specialised service to the patients in the clinic. Urology Clinic was opened at 11am at room number 308 of the hospital. Urology Specialist Dr Niropom Mondol will provide treatment to urology patients at the room of outdoor department.

Hospital’s Director Dr ATM Morshed, and Vice-Principal of Khulna Medical College and BMA Khulna General Secretary Dr Mehedi Newaz, SWACHIP Joint Secretary Dr Sumon Roy, among others, were present on the occasion. Vice-Principal of Khulna Medical College Dr Mehedi Newaz said the Urology department was opened to turn the hospital into a specialised one.

Despite a manpower crunch, senior physicians ensured important specilised service like neurology, hepatology and Endocrinology. Now the Urology Department began its full -fledged service, he said. “More doctors will be appointed immediately to provide treatment to the patients,” he added.
