Zimbabwe aim to end tour with a good note

Zimbabwe are not bothered about their recent performance as they aim to bounce back in the T20 series against Bangladesh to end the tour with good note.
The Southern African opponent would go into the T20 series as underdog also but the format of the game provided them the confidence.
“Obviously it was disappointing to lose but it’s a new version. Just need to make sure that we bounce back and come up on top,” Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura said. Zimbabwe recently lost the T20 series against low ranked Afghanistan too. Their T20 record against Bangladesh also didn’t speak in favour of them. The both sides locked horns in three matches  in which Bangladesh won two. Bangladesh had also won the last match between the two sides in 2013.
“Main focus now is about tomorrow’s game. Just have to make sure that we play good cricket. We are a confident team. It’s a different version you just have to make sure you go out there and play with freedom. In the last T20 we played (against Afghanistan) we did well although we lost the game. We had some good performances. We are looking to give the same kind of performance when it comes to tomorrow’s game.” He however stressed upon the requirements to improve in batting which sank them in three-match ODI series.
“I want to change the way we batted and put up a better performance. So obviously batting is going to be key as well. We just want to better our performance when it comes to batting. It’s a different kind of a version so we have to make sure that we start well,” he pointed out. Like Bangladesh, Zimbabwe also eyed to find out their best combination for the World T20 through this series.
“It is important especially for our team it’s another way of finding our best combination going forward to the world cup. Every guy in the team they want to perform and make sure that they will be in the World Cup squad. Obviously this series is important for us at the same time to try and bounce back in this tour.”
“We haven’t played against Bangladesh when it comes to that format I think we last played each other long time ago and they are now a different team. They are confident coming in from this one day series . it’s going to be a good series just need to make sure that we can concentrate on our game.”
