RAJSHAHI: A trial court here yesterday sent Nurun Nahar Begum, Panel Mayor-3 of Rajshahi City Corporation, in an explosive case, reports BSS. After hearing both the sides, Judge of Metropolitan Session Court Altaf Hossain passed an order for sending her to jail rejecting her bail prayer. Earlier in the morning, Nurun Nahar appeared to the court seeking bail. Advocate Roisul Islam, lawyer of Nurun Nahar, told the journalists that on January 5 last, an incident of chase and counter-chase had taken place between police and BNP activists at Kadirgonj area. A number of cocktails were exploded during the clash.  Afterwards, police lodged an explosive case with Boalia Model Police Station. After completion of investigation police pressed charges accusing some BNP leaders and workers including Nurun Nahar.
