After almost 30 years, ‘Uchcharan’, the famous band founded in 1972 by the ‘Pop Guru of Bangladesh’ Azam Khan, real name Mahbubul Haque Khan, will come together on ColoursFM 101.6 today from 6 pm to 8 pm.The band members, Alauddin Al Asad (Nilu), Ishtiaqur Rahman (Ishtiaq), Kazi Aftab Uddin (Hablu) and Ashfaq Ur Rahman (Edu) will talk about their hey days in the ‘The Band Show’, hosted by Shaikh Shahed.They will also talk about their late frontman Azam Khan on his fourth death anniversary.  Azam Khan, who was a freedom fighter himself, brought in a musical revolution after the Liberation War. He introduced pop music in Bangladesh and has been an icon ever since. ‘Uchcharan’ are famous for their notable songs, ‘Ore Saleka, Ore Maleka’, ‘Alal O Dulal’, ‘Ashi Ashi Bole Tumi’, ‘Obhimaani’ and ‘Bangladesh’.  Azam Khan’s style of singing has won the heart of the nation and he will always be known as ‘Guru’ to everyone. Anecdotes of ‘Uchcharan’ will be exchanged and told by the band members themselves.
