A four-day victory festival is going to start today on the premises of Central Shaheed Minar in the capital amid much enthusiasm and fanfare. Presided over by Golam Kuddus, National Professor Rafiqul Islam will inaugurate the festival at 3:30pm today.

Like the previous years, Sammilita Sangskritik Jote is organising the festival at several venues of the city simultaneously.

Today, on the inaugural day, the artistes of Bangladesh Gana Sangeet Samannay Parishad will present chorus songs with the theme of Liberation War, while artistes of Spandan will perform dances.

The festival is featureing discussion, solo music and poetry recitation, street drama and performance of the artistes of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra.

The four-day festival will be continued till  December 16.
