Memorandum of understanding signed

Japan Bangladesh Robotics and Advance Technology Research Centre (JBRATRC)  and BGC Trust University Bangladesh (BGCTUB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Chattogram recently, said a press release. Engineer Mohammad Farhan Ferdous, founder and chairman of Japan Bangladesh Robotics and Advance technology research centre (JBRATRC) and Dr Saroj Kanti Singh Hazari of BGC Trust University signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organisations. Examination controller of BGC Trust University Bangladesh Dr Narayan Baidya, Registrar AFM Aktaruzzaman Kaisar, Deputy Controller Md Maksudar Rahman Chowdhury, Acting Chairman and associate professor of computer science and engineering department Nurul Absar, Assistant Professor Salah Uddin Chowdhury, Assistant professor Ferdous Ara and Lecturer Abdul Wahab were present there on the ocassion.


Urban Thinkers Campus-2019 ends at BUET

A three days Urban Thinkers Campus-2019 organised by the department of Architecture of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) ended on the university premises yesterday.
As an associate partner of World Urban Campaign of UN-Habitat, BUET hosted the Urban Thinkers Campus for the third consecutive time, said a press release. This year, the title of UTC-BUET 2019 is ‘Approach to Inter-Scalar Resilience-Settlement Linkages’. BUET has already participated in previous UTC's in 2015 and 2017 and now organising UTC-4 to engage stakeholders in the post-Habitat III era. A 3-day exhibition, organised by the Department of architecture, includes Urban Labs with documentary, tour and an exhibition representing academic projects and partner organisations works.
A total of 20 partner organisations from government, non-government and international sectors have joined the programme, including Dhaka North and South City Corporation, Department of Architecture of Ministry of Housing and Public works, UDD, LGED, RAJUK, The World Bank, Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh, IDCOL, HBRI, HBFC, Bangladesh Housing Forum, UIA, IAB,  BIP, Prothom Alo, BAPA, Work for Better Bangladesh, Jahangirnagar University and Khulna University, the release said. Professor Nasreen Hossain of department of architecture addressed the opening session while Md Enamur Rahman MP, state minister for disaster management and relief, was present as the chief guest.
