Syndicate to hold meeting today over reopening of JU

Jahangirnagar University (JU) syndicate will hold an emergency meeting on the campus today afternoon to discuss resumption of academic activities of the university, said a press release.
On November 5, the authorities closed the university for an indefinite period and asked all the students to vacate their respective dormitories.
The university authorities took the decision when a section of teachers and students staged demonstration demanding the resignation of university vice-chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam over her alleged involvement in corruption.
However, Dr Farzana repeatedly denied her involvement in any corruption.
NU degree pass and certificate course exams rescheduled

The National University (NU) authorities have rescheduled the examinations of 1st year degree pass and certificate course of 2019 along with degree and certificate course of 2017 (old syllabus) due to unavoidable circumstances, an official release said.
The tests of 1st year degree and certificate course of 2019 were supposed to be held on December 18 to 31, it said, adding “But now it will be held on January 02 to 12 next”.
Besides, the examinations of degree and certificate course of 2017 (old syllabus) will be held on January 2 to 12 instead of December 18-January 1, the release also said.
Both exams will start from 1pm every day while the schedule of other examinations will be unchanged, it continued. The details regarding examinations will be available at the National University website www.nu.ac.bd and www.nu.ac.bd/degree.
