NU 1st year degree exams begins today

The first year’s degree (pass) and certificate course examinations of academic year 2019 and degree (pass) and certificate course (Old Syllabus) of year 2017 under National University (NU) will begin today. The examinations will start at 1pm daily (except Friday and public holiday) on November 24 and it will continue until January 30, 2020, said a press release. Workshop on English skill development

The State University of Bangladesh (SUB) and the British Council jointly organised a workshop on English skills development at the SUB's Scholars' Inn Auditorium in the capital on Thursday, says a press release.  SUB Vice-chancellor Prof M Shahjahan Mina was the chief guest while Sarwat Reza, head of the Business Development Department of the British Council, was the guest of honour at the workshop. The workshop was conducted by the British Council's Business Pursuit Officer Umma Aisha Masjuda.  Abu Taher Khan, director of the Career Development Centre at SUB, welcomed all at the workshop. Prof Nurul Karim Nasim, Department of English at SUB and Department Head, Paren Chandra Barman, were also present, among others.  At the end of the workshop, the British Council was awarded the winners of the 5 quizzes of English linguistics and skills. Forty students of the SUB participated in the workshop.
