A Chattogram court today sent nine activists of BNP and Jubo Dal to jail, rejecting their bail petition. Public Prosecutor Advocate Fakruddin Chowdhury said Metropolitan Sessions Judge Ashfaqur Rahman passed this order, rejecting their bail petitions. Following the order of the High Court, the accused surrendered before the court yesterday. The accused are – Nur Mohammad Guddu, Habibur Rahman, Mohammad Khorshed, Mohammad Nezam, Rafiqul Islam, Mohammad Monir, Jane Alam, Selim and Abu Miah. Public Prosecutor Fakruddin said the accused were granted anticipatory bail by the High Court earlier in a criminal case lodge with Pahartali thana in 2018.
