Indian team calls on info minister

A 14-member Indian delegation on Saturday paid a courtesy call on Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud at his official residence in the capital. Led by Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Rebati Mohan Das, the Indian delegation included Tripura assembly Member Ashish Kumar Saha and Agartala Press Club Secretary Pranab Sarkar.

Army chief leaves for China today
BSS, Dhaka

Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General Aziz Ahmed will leave here for China today on a five-day official visit. During the tour, he will meet with Defence Minister of China, People’s Liberation Army Ground Force Commander, leaders of Olympic committee and other senior officials, said an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) release here yesterday. The Army chief is expected to return home on November 9.
