Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 2.450 kilograms of heroin in the district yesterday. The arrestee was Monirul Islam Bablu, 50, of Hatnabad village under Godagari Upazila, RAB officials said. Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in Mohandarga area under the same upazila around 2.45 pm yesterday and seized the huge contraband items from his possession. The RAB team detained the man for his alleged involvement in heroin trading and trafficking. A case was filed with Godagari Police Station in this connection.
