Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) has requested Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yesterday to clear the outstanding amount of Brothers Union players.
Their request to BCB came while the club failed to clear dues despite several warning from the CCDM, the guardian of Dhaka clubs.
Brothers Union, a team of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), did not give the players full amount for playing the tournament, country’s traditional 50-over
club-based tournament, that was held in the start of this year. At the moment, the outstanding amount is BDT 40 lakh.
“We have requested BCB to pay the Brothers Union players’ money as they didn’t clear the dues despite several warnings and request. BCB is paying BDT
40 lakh on behalf of the Brothers Union,” the CCDM co-ordinator Amin Khan said here yesterday.
According to DPL players draft rules, BCB is bound to pay any players payment if the club fails to do it.
