BCB yet to take
decision on pink ball Test 
in India

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yet to make a final call on Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) offer to play one day-night (pink ball) Test match during the national  team’s tour of India in November.

Bangladesh will play two Test matches against India in Indore (1st Test) and Kolkata (2nd Test) to make their ICC Test Championship journey. BCCI wants any one of the two Tests will be played in pink ball and already sent an invitation to the BCB to consider the matter. Both India and Bangladesh are yet to play day-night Test.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan confirmed reporters about India’s offer regarding the matter at the SBNCS yesterday.

‘’We are having a discussion over the issue. We’re yet take any decision. After talking with players and team management we’ll make a final call on it,” BCB CEO told reporters.

BCB’s cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan also said India’s offer to play on Test with the pink ball will be decided after discussion.

According to Indian reports, Sourav Ganguly, the ne BCCI President, is a strong advocate of day-night Tests and it was believed that there is a 50-50 chance that one of those matches could be a day-night affair.

Earlier, Bangladesh turned down New Zealand’s  offer to play their first ever day-night Test match during Tigers’ tour of New Zealand back in February-March this year.
