In observance of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, a ten-day solo photography exhibition titled ‘Act Together to End Poverty’ by Quddus Alam will begin today at the EMK Center in Dhanmondi of the capital.

The exhibition will highlight the life of working-class people from a rural area -Gaibandha, working together and raising out of poverty.

Born in 1964, Md Quddus Alam completed his Bachelor degree in 1986. He has been working as a photographer since 1987. He is currently working as a multimedia journalist for DrikNEWS in Gaibandha district. He won two awards for his photography, such as Standard Chartered Bank & Delivery Star’s ‘Celebrating Life’ Award, ‘UFP Photography Award-2009. His photos were exhibited in different exhibitions and contests.

The exhibition will remain open to all every day from 9am to 8pm, until October 27.
