World football supremo FIFA President Gianni Infantino will arrive in Dhaka in the early hours of tomorrow (Thursday) on a short tour of Bangladesh. He is expected to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1.50am. He will stay overnight at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. FIFA boss is coming to Dhaka responding to the invitation of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). A five-member FIFA delegation, led by Infantino, will come to Bangladesh after their Mongolia visit.
The members of FIFA delegation include Deputy Secretary General (Football) of FIFA Mattias Grafstrom, Chief of Communications Onofre Costa, Director of Member Associations Asia and Oceania Sanjeevan Balasingam, President’s Office Manager Federico Raviglione. The FIFA boss will call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Prime Minister’s Office at 10.30am.
Then he will visit Bangladesh Football Federation Bhaban at 12.15pm to meet with the BFF officials. He will round off his whirlwind tour with addressing a press conference at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel at 2.20pm.
Finally, he will depart from Dhaka at 5:00pm for Laos. Infantino will be the third FIFA President to visit Bangladesh after Sepp Blatter and Joao Havelange.
