To acknowledge the finest names in the wedding services for a truly elegant, stylish and sophisticated wedding experience, an annual award ceremony titled ‘Best in the Wedding Industry Awards 2019’ was held with a red-carpet ceremony at the Sky Ballroom of Le Meridien Dhaka in the capital on Saturday evening.

With an aim to promoting the wedding industry of Bangladesh and to bring wedding movers and shakers of fashion, retail, beauty, wedding planning and photography and catering of Bangladesh under one roof, Jarwa House and ICE Today jointly organised such lavish event for the first time in the country.

Anchored by supermodel Jannatul Ferdous Peya, the welcome speech of the event was given by Nawshin Khair, Executive Director of ICE Media Limited, while JoAnne Wagner, Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Dhaka, attended the event as the chief guest.

The ceremony hosted a range of awards in two broad categories. ICE Today special awards and Awards in the different categories like Beauty, Wedding Decoration and Wedding Photography which were chosen by a panel of juries.

The selected winners by the juries were given awards under different categories. Under the Bridal beauty Industry Winners, Anika Bushra won the Best Bridal Makeup Artist award, while Gala Makeover Studio and Salon by Navin Ahmed won the Best Bridal Makeover award; Enchanted Events & Prints and Event Touch International jointly won under the Wedding Planning and Decorations; while under the category Wedding Photography, Best Photography Service was given to ARTLAND, Best Production House award was given to Checkmate Events and Best Wedding Filmmaker of the Year awarded to Wedding Diary.

The awards ceremony also hosted a fashion show featuring gems of Jarwa House, and clothing from Aranya, 02, Rose by Nizhu and Splash in between the award segments.
