Around 97 per cent people of the country are satisfied with ongoing drive against casino, according to a survey. The phone survey conducted by Research International (RI) also highlighted that 99 per cent people of the country are satisfied with the performance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as her government is running the country for the third consecutive term. Researcher Prof Dr Abul Hasnat Milton presented the survey result at a press conference held at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity today.

Researchers Kazi Ahmed Parvez and Mosharraf Hossain also spoke at the press conference. Milton said 88 per cent people who took part in the survey appreciated the ongoing drive against graft as well as casino, adding that it will further brighten the image of the ruling Awami League government. He said the nationwide study carried out to determine the people’s attitude towards the ongoing drive against casino as they quizzed a total of 1,760 respondents across the country over phone.
