ACC approves filing of case against four

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday gave approval to the filing of a case against four persons, including a former managing director of the Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, for alleged illegal transactions worth more than Tk. 40 crore. The commission gave the approval after getting proof of the bribery allegation against them in an investigation.

ACC deputy director (public relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed this to The Independent, saying that the investigating officer will soon file a case in this regard. The ACC will file a case against former Titas MD Mir Mashiur Rahman, Gazipur region former manager (now manager of the Pipeline Design Division) Sabber Ahmed Chowdhury, Sabber’s wife Rumana Risat Zaman, and SB Construction owner Saiful Islam.
