The SAFF Championship 2020 will be held in September next year in Bangladesh, the decision was taken at a SAFF congress meeting held yesterday in Kuala Lumpur with SAFF President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin in the chair.

The meeting revealed the SAFF calendar which included the SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship 2010 in August, SAFF U-15 Championship 2020 in October and SAFF U-18 Women’s Championship 2020 in September-October.

The meeting also took the decision to stage the SAFF Championship in every odd year. It also approved the budget of the SAFF 2020.

SAFF general secretary Anwarul Haque Helal, three AFC members along with FIFA councilor member and FIFA and AFC and BFF executive committee member and BFF women’s wing chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron were also present in the meeting.
