The Dhaka University (DU) authority has suspended 69 of its students yesterday on the charges of involvement in fraudulent activities in admission test. The decision came from a meeting of disciplinary council yesterday which was chaired by DU VC Prof M Akhtaruzzaman.
Earlier on August 6, an initial decision was taken at a meeting of the university's disciplinary council that the accused students would be served with show-cause notices to prove their innocence and their failure will result in permanent expulsion from the
university.
The 69 suspended students were admitted to DU through cheating from 2012-13 academic year to 2017-18 academic year.
