A workshop on ‘Evaluation of Digital Learning Environment (DLE) Application System’ organised by Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) was held at UGC yesterday, says a press release. The workshop was arranged to evaluate the activities performed under ‘facilitating distance learning using digital conferencing facility’ project allocated by Asi@Connect.
Representatives from Research and Education Networks of Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka participated in the event. Besides, 10 faculties from different universities of Bangladesh also attended. At the end of the workshop, UGC Chairman Prof Kazi Shahidullah as a chief guest distributed digital certificates among the trainees who participated in the cyber security course.
A total of 120 participants from the four member countries took part in the cyber security courses as part of distance learning for the first time after the establishment of BdREN. UGC Members Prof Md Akhtar Hossain, Prof Md Sazzad Hossain and Prof Muhammed Alamgir gave speech at the workshop. BdREN CEO Mohammad Tawrit delivered the introductory speech.
