Police arrested a man on Monday night on charges of attempting to rape his niece at Muslimnagar Noyabazar of Fatullah.

 The arrested was identified as Ripon, 21, son of Abul Kashem Khan of Patuakhali's Galachipa area.

Quoting case details, Sub-Inspector Abul Kashem of Fatullah Model Police Station said the victim and Ripon worked at garment factories and lived in adjacent houses with their families.
