After several months of deliberations by judges, grueling preparations taken by participants and enchanting performances, the latest season of Indian channel Zee Bangla’s musical reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ has finally come to an end.

This year’s edition had special attraction reserved for Bangladeshi viewers as Mainul Ahsan Noble, a contestant from Gopalganj, was among the finalists.

As Noble won hearts of the audience-- in both sides of the border-- and provided some scintillating performances, viewers in Bangladesh had high hopes that the local lad will be able to lift the winner’s trophy.

However, that was not to be as Noble was adjudged third in the grand finale of the musical reality show aired on Sunday. Noble was made second runner-up jointly with India’s Pritam Roy. Beating other talented rivals by an edge, Ankita became the proud winner of the singing competition. Gaurab and Snigdhojeet became joint first runner-up.  

The grand finale of the musical competition was held at Bishwa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata. The results came at the end of a colourful and emotionally-charged programme involving all the participants.

Monali Thakur, Shantanu Moitra and Srikanta Acharjo were the judges of the show, while famous singer Sukhbinder Singh was present as a special judge at the grand finale.
