CHITTAGONG: Police in special drives arrested 237 people, including 16 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), from different upazilas of the district on Sunday night, reports BSS.
The law enforcers also seized 74 yaba tablets, 22 litres of liquor, 250 grams hemp the night-long drives. Mohammad Naimul Hasan, additional superintendent of police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district police, said that several teams of police conducted the drives in different upazilas of the district on Sunday night and rounded up 237 people.
