Scholarship given to DU students

Students of the Management Department of Dhaka University and Bir Uttam Khwaja Nizamuddin Bhuiyan family provided Tk 10 lakh scholarship for the students of Dhaka University. In this regard, Faculty of Business Studies arranged a programme titled ‘Scholarship Distribution to the Financially Challenged Students’ at Dr Habibullah Conference Hall on the campus on Thursday, said a press release.

Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman attended the programme as chief guest and received the scholarship cheque of Tk10 lakh from Bir Uttam Shaheed Khwaja Nizamuddin Bhuiyan’s brother and Principal of Milestone College (administrative campus) Colonel M Kamaluddin Bhuiyan (retd).

Two others brothers of Bir Uttam Shaheed Khwaja Nizamuddin Bhuiyan-- Sultan Moinuddin Bhuiyan and Hasan Mohiuddin Bhuiyan were present at that time, the press release added. Managing director of NCC Bank Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director of First security Islami Bank Syed Waseque Md Ali and Deputy Managing director of BRAC Bank Chowdhury Akhtar Asif were present as special guest.
